Join us for an exclusive 3-hour ceramic workshop right at home in your condo building's event space. Hosted by Leah, ceramic artist with 10 years experience.
Perfect for residents and guests, this relaxed session lets you craft beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces using simple handbuilding techniques—no prior experience needed.
All materials and firing included.
What You'll Learn and Create:
Step-by-step guidance from an experienced ceramic artist. You'll dive into essential hand-building methods on the spot.
Pinch pots: Shape soft clay by pinching and smoothing to form bowls or vessels, ideal for holding treasures or tea lights.
Coiling: Roll clay into ropes and stack them to build taller forms like vases or planters, with tips for seamless joins.
Slab rolling: Flatten clay into sheets and cut, drape, or mold them into plates, trays, or sculptural accents.
With these techniques you will be able to design a piece or 2 of your own. Mug, bowl, vase ect.
By session's end, your pieces will be transferred to the kiln to be fired and glazed in a clear food safe glaze for a durable, professional result. They will be returned back to you in 3 weeks time and available for pick up with your concierge.
Additionally, you'll be able to choose to add colored clay into your project. I will show you a clay marbling technique commonly known as "agateware pottery". Please be sure to choose a color clay of your choice at check-out.
Enjoy wine, conversation, and meeting neighbors in a small group.
